SAFA president Danny Jordaan is currently involved in a high-profile legal case. The funds in question were allegedly used between 2014 and 2018, partly to manage Jordaan’s public image after rape accusations surfaced in 2017 from former ANC MP Jennifer Ferguson.

Authorities have acted on these allegations with a raid at SAFA House, where they seized devices and documents to aid their investigation. Civil groups like Not In My Name International are pressuring Jordaan to step down during the legal proceedings, emphasizing the importance of protecting SAFA's reputation.
