On Tuesday, the EFF in the Northern Cape is planning a protest march to Premier Zamani Saul's office to express its strong opposition to the town of Orania's continued existence. The EFF argued that Orania was a deliberate attempt to preserve the ideologies of the apartheid era and warned that its continued operation indicates a larger goal of normalizing segregationist principles in a democratic South Africa.

Prince Mashele, the EFF's public representative in the municipality of Sol Platjiee, confirmed in a social media video that they will continue the march. “We can never be party to a government that is allowing segregation within our province. He stated, "We are going to advocate for the complete elimination of Orania in our province." Last week, IOL reported that the EFF requested a status evaluation of Orania in accordance with the South African Constitution and applicable national legislation. The party argued that Orania, a 3,000-person mainly Afrikaans enclave, undermines national unity and perpetuates ideologies reminiscent of apartheid, which the enclave was founded on.

According to the EFF, this kind of socio-political model goes against South Africa's constitutional principles of equality, inclusion, and non-racialism, which are fundamental to the democracy of the country. Shadrack Tlhaole, the provincial chair of the EFF, is said to have said that the party is ready to deal with the situation in Orania. He emphasized that the EFF's issue is a serious national concern that necessitates black and white South Africans' attention and participation. “We are taking our march and continuing with our march to the premier’s office, demanding what we have said, and that will continue. Tlhaole stated, "Orania should be abolished, and Orania is not what we should accept as the EFF." This comes after last week's unsuccessful engagement with Orania's leadership and Freedom Front Plus (FF+) representatives.

Meanwhile, MK Party visited another whites-only settlement, Kleinfontein, in Pretoria on Monday, complaining about the same situation as the EFF.
