Speculation about Ndlozi's future intensified after his absence from the EFF's elective conference in December and the departure of former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu to Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party. Mbalula contrasted the EFF's treatment of Ndlozi with the ANC's approach, stating that if a similar situation occurred within the ANC, efforts would be made to retain such a valuable member. Mbalula emphasized that the ANC remains open to individuals committed to the country's transformation and liberation, indicating that Ndlozi would be welcome to join the party if he chooses to continue his political career.
